Founded by artist and typographic designer Jane Glennie, whose work includes installations and poetry films. Jane studied Typography & Graphic Communication under Michael Twyman at Reading University before completing an MA in Art & Space at Kingston School of Art. With over 25 years experience as a freelance designer, she founded Peculiarity Press to collaborate on books with art and words.
The journey began with artist Robert Good and his project to create a 'New Dictionary of Art: one word - 3,000 definitions' – which has been stocked by Tate Modern, the V&A, Modern Art Oxford, Kettle’s Yard and others. Working with art and words is a good fit for collaboration with Peculiarity Press. The subtleties of typography, in and of itself, but also to evoke, mimic, or parody is often forgotten.
Peculiarity Press is happy to consider proposals.
